About
Capturing Neverland is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to photography, visual storytelling, and creative learning for children and young people in underserved and crisis-affected communities.
Since 2010, the initiative has grown from a grassroots project into a cross-border program delivered across multiple countries in partnership with trusted local organizations. Its work is rooted in direct community engagement and shaped by years of field-based experience, ethical practice, and child-centered learning.
Capturing Neverland uses photography as a creative and educational tool through which children can explore their perspective, express their experiences, and build confidence in their own voice. Each workshop is designed to foster technical skill, self-expression, and a sense of agency within supportive and inclusive environments.
The organization’s model is grounded in dignity, safeguarding, and meaningful participation. Rather than treating children as passive beneficiaries, Capturing Neverland invites them to become observers, storytellers, and creators of their own narratives.
Over the past 14 years, Capturing Neverland has worked with hundreds of children across 14 countries. Today, the organization is entering a new phase as a structured nonprofit — building on a proven body of work to grow its reach, strengthen local partnerships, and extend its long-term impact.
We believe every child has a perspective worth seeing, a voice worth hearing, and a story worth sharing.
